4 Cards with To Every Season Stamp Set

Today’s post features 4 card variations made with the To Every Season Stamp Set and the coordinating Every Season Punch Pack by Stampin’ Up! These are super cute, clean and simple cards!

These two products are also available to purchase as a bundle and then you save 10%!

I love the To Every Season Stamp Set and coordinating punches! The images and punched shapes are adorable, plus this set can be used for multiple occasions making it super versatile! This first card is the one shown in my Facebook Live video just ahead. I simply drew my lines in 7/16″ increments with a black gel-type pen, curled and shaped my leaves and then arranged them in a way that was pleasing to me. For this first card, the only image I stamped was the sentiment.

For my Valentines card, I stamped the small heart image from the To Every Season Stamp Set using Memento Black ink.

These colors are a bit non-traditional for a Valentines card, but I just liked the color combination better than the options I considered with just reds, pinks and purples. I think this color combination makes the card a little less feminine and therefore more versatile too!

For this card, I’ve spaced out my hearts a bit more than I did with the leaves, but the spacing between the lines is the same.

One of the subjects I talked about in the Facebook Live was, using the 1/16″ increment as a way to increase your layering options.

I use the 1/16″ increment option often as a way to get a slightly larger, or smaller border than the commonly seen 1/8″ edge. Both of these cards use an alternative edge.

  • So for these two cards, the front of my card is the traditional A-2 size (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) but the Basic Black Layer measures 3-15/16″ x 5-3/16″. That allows me to show a bit more of the Mossy Meadow and Real Red card bodies because the difference between the layers is 5/16″ instead of 1/4″(same as 4/16″).
  • In addition, the Whisper White layer measures 3-3/4″ x 5″. The difference between the Basic Black and Whisper White layers is just 3/16″ total which makes the exposed black edge a bit less than 1/8″ (same as 2/16″, the more commonly seen edge). The difference is not a lot but I think it changes the look quite a bit.

I especially like to have different size borders in my layering. It’s like when you frame a piece of artwork. The borders are often different widths, which just makes it look more interesting.

For my Halloween card, I’ve also used the 1/16″ increment.

The Gorgeous Grape layer measures 4-1/16″ x 5-3/16″. That gives me a 3/16″ difference between the Basic Black card body and the Gorgeous Grape top layer, instead of the traditional 1/4″ difference (same as 4/16″).

I often use the 1/16″ increment with Black because it’s such a strong color and sometimes I just want it to look a bit more subtle. I especially like the thin black border here, because the bats are small and the lines are thin.

Last but not least is my snowflakes card!

Here I’ve stamped and punched out the cute snowflake image from the To Every Season Stamp Set on five different colors of cardstock.

The increment between the lines is the same as on the first two cards, but for this card, the layering is different once again.

  • Here, my Gorgeous Grape layer measures 4″ x 5-1/4″ leaving a traditional edge of 1/8″ showing of the Highland Heather card body.
  • I’ve have used a thin Gorgeous Grape border around the Whisper White panel. The difference between these two layers is 3/16″ leaving a border on all sides that’s slightly smaller than 1/8″, just like on the first two cards.

The images on this card are heat embossed with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder. You can see the shine of the heat embossing in this next photo. I just love how this one turned out! To me the colors are so pretty together, I adore this cute little image, and the shine just makes it extra special!

I love all four of these cards but if I had to pick favorites it would be the pair here. I do love my purples!

So three out of the four of these cards were designed while visiting my mom in NYC earlier this week. I took the following photo on the plane ride home and just had to share it! The gorgeous colors reminded me a bit of the two cards above. Isn’t this an amazing photo?! Magical is the word that comes to mind! 🙂
