Check out these 4 quick colorful cards that you can make with any colors and stamped images that inspire you! You’re going to love making some of your own!
These were inspired by my Treehouse Chicks Team member Aimee Johnson. A few months ago for our monthly idea-sharing challenge, the theme was #simplestamping with the goal of ONLY using stamps, ink, and paper! I had so much fun making these 4 quick colorful cards!
Now for my various cards, I used four different ways to apply my colors and four different stamp sets for my images. You’ll see three of the stamp sets used on the cards in this post and the fourth stamp set is shown on a card in my video which you’ll find at the end of this post.

For this first card, I’ve used an image from the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set to apply my five swatches of color.
The colors include (from left to right), Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, and Flirty Flamingo. After my colors were stamped I used a large post-it note to mask along the bottom of the colors, and then I stamped my floral images one at a time, varying the angle and height of each image. The sentiment and floral images used are from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set.

For this next card, I’ve used images from the same two stamp sets.
My circular swatches of color are created using a different image from the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set but I have used the same colors. I love how I can use all the same products and get this different fun look.

As you can see, my sentiment was stamped on a small piece of white cardstock and attached to the front of this card. The ends were punched using the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch for simple decorative edges. Now, truth be told, I initially stamped the sentiment directly on the front of my focal piece but it was not straight so I simply covered it up with my punched piece for an easy fix. 🙂

So, to apply my colors on this next card, I used my Stampin’ Sponges to apply my colors.
Since this card design was a club project that people would be making at home with their own supplies, I wanted to provide some alternative that would be easy to recreate using items I thought most everyone would have.

With the sponges, I found that it was hard to apply the color in a narrowly defined space, so it simply worked best to go all the way from top to bottom. This is not my favorite version but it still works.

For the last of my 4 quick colorful cards, I used Blending Brushes and the Painted Poppies Stamp Set.
On this card I only used four of the five colors and just applied a bit more of each. With the Blending Brushes it was easy to apply my swatches of color in a more defined space, unlike with the sponges.

Tip: When you stamp your floral image, stamp a full image in the center and then two partial images on the left and right for a more interesting arrangement. It’s also easier to get a straight line across the bottom doing it this way.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my 4 quick colorful cards and you’re inspired to create your own version!
The best part is you can use a rainbow of colors as I did or choose a completely different color scheme and make it your own. Plus, this is an easy design to make with whatever stamps you have on hand as well!
