August 2019 Color Challenge and Color Fusers Blog Hop

Today's projects were made for the August 2019 Color Challenge and Color Fusers Blog Hop.

Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop and August 2019 Color Challenge!

I absolutely love the August 2019 Color Challenge. The colors include Blackberry Bliss, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and one of the new 2019 – 2021 In Colors, Pretty Peacock. I hope you love this combination as much as I do! I have two cards to share with you today. They both feature the Daisy Lane Bundle plus the larger Daisy coordinating punch.

I have used the masking technique on this card to make the foliage looks like it’s in behind the small stamped flowers.

A few project details:

  • In this close up you may be able to see that the daisy petals have been curled to help the daisy look more natural.
  • The Rhinestone Jewels and the Clear Faceted gem have been colored with the Dark Bermuda Bay Blends Alcohol Marker.
  • On this version, there are four stamped and punched flowers layered on top of each other.
  • The pair of small daisies are attached to the pair of large daisies with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A few finishing touches…

  • I’ve stamped the script image from the Very Versailles stamp set, in first and second inking, around the edges of the whisper white layer.
  • The Blackberry Bliss layer is attached to the card body with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This second card has some slight variations from the first one and is in fact, a little simpler than the first one.

On this card…

  • I changed the color of the smaller flowers, to Blackberry Bliss,
  • only one large daisy was used for the central element, and
  • the Rhinestone Jewels and Faceted Gem were not colored.

I personally prefer this simpler version.
