Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop and a Spring Color Palette!
The color challenge this month is the perfect spring color palette to be playing with! These colors are so bright and cheerful, and just feel like spring to me! Where I live everything is starting to bloom, the weather is beautiful and I just love it!

Now, I’m always looking for fun places to find inspiration for my card making.
My latest obsession is to use product packaging as a creative jumping off point. Today’s card was inspired by the set of chocolate bars you see below. I changed the colors to fit this months color challenge and used the product packaging for these chocolate bars to guide my layout.

When I looked at these packages I immediately envisioned a sun or moon on the horizon.
With the spring color palette of, Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, and Vanilla, I envisioned the sun of course. There were three elements in this product packaging that I was trying to capture including:
- The modern feel, the
- combination of shapes and
- a bit of texture in each panel.
I’ve also added a touch of Gold Foil for a bit of shine on two of the “suns” on the right and left.
In these next two close up photos, check out the fun textural elements and the touch of shine.

I’ve used three stamp sets to create this card, Enjoy Life for the “plants in behind the “suns”, the Piece of Cake Set for the sentiment, and the Artisan Textures stamp set for the textural elements on the three small panels below the “suns”.

What do you think of this warm, sunny spring color palette?
It just makes me happy to look at it! Leave a comment at the end of this post and let me know what you think.

I hope you enjoyed my project today.

What a neat idea Melissa! I need to start paying more attention to packaging!
So clever! There’s inspiration everywhere, if we look for it! TFS
So true Sue! It’s been very fun and liberating for me and my team. Product packaging was the theme for our swap in March and we all agreed it helped us to find inspiration for our cardmaking in so many more places.
What a cool idea for inspiration Melissa!!! I love it, and I love your card. Fantastic.
Very Interesting, Melissa. I need to be more observant for sure!
