Dry Embossing with Color Blending

Today’s project features dry embossing with the Cute Crochet folder and some gorgeous color blending.

A couple of weeks ago I shared a gorgeous project made for the August 2024 Color Challenge and blog hop. The color scheme is not one I usually gravitate toward but I simply love this soft, subtle color combination. Make sure to check out the blog hop to see more beautiful projects made with this color scheme! Today’s card also features dry embossing which is one of my favorite techniques! I love the dimension and many patterns embossing folders offer. Plus, it’s so simple to do!

For this project, I’ve only used three ink colors but using my Blending Brushes, I’ve created a fourth color as well. Can you see the peachy color just above the sentiment? That color was created by mixing the Lemon Lolly with the Bubble Bath.

The sentiment is heat embossed and comes from the Spotlight on Nature Stamp Set. I love the simple, elegant script used for this stamp.

My ribbon is cut in half to get a subtle, thin, bit of ribbon with gorgeous shimmer and shine. It is complemented by the Iridescent Pearls. This dry embossed card was so easy to make!

For my dry embossed piece I started with a piece that was bigger than I needed for the front. I did this intentionally so I could use a coordinating scrap for the inside.
