In today’s post, you’ll see two unique card ideas with the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set including a fancy fold card and more.
In my video tutorial, I’ve included lots of fun tips and tricks for making my fancy fold card. Plus, my second Eden’s Garden card features a fun trick with the Stamparatus! You’ll definitely want to watch my video tutorial for all the details!
For this first card, I’ve essentially created my own designer paper using most of the stamps in the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set and a variety of greens. This is a new set and early release from the upcoming January to June 2022 mini-catalog. I love the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set and all the coordinating products! I’ve used Three of the products from the Eden’s Garden collection on this project including the Ever Eden Designer Paper, the Garden Gems, and of course the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set.

I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock measuring 3-⅞” x 5-¼”, stamped on it, and cut it down to get three pieces.
My cut pieces measure 2 @ ½” x 5-¼” and 1 @ 2-⅞” x 5-¼”. Use the large panel on the left side of the front of the card; use one of the small strips along the right side of the card; the second small strip will get cut down and put on the inside.

As you can see here, the front flap serves as a latch to hold the card shut and it folds back to open up the card. The latch piece attaches to the right side flap with a foam adhesive sheet.

The latch piece can also lay flat on the inside of the card as you see here:

Some simple scoring is the trick to making this card open and close smoothly.
As you can see I’ve got three score lines at 1/8″ increments. These lines are mostly hidden on the front by the ribbon.

On this close up you can see the score lines at the very bottom below the ribbon. This close-up also shows two of the gorgeous Garden Gems used to add some bling to this fancy fold card. These gems along with the other consumable products in this collection (eg. designer paper, cotton paper) are ONLY available while supplies last!

For the sentiment element, I’ve used a few of the dies from the Tasteful Labels Dies set.
Stamp the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink and use a blending brush to add some of the same color to the edges. The larger piece has some Soft Sea Foam ink added to its edges. Mount the assembled sentiment piece with dimensionals onto a piece of the gorgeous Eden’s Garden Designer Series Paper and then attach it to Evening Evergreen cardstock.

The card you see in this next photo is the version I made during my Facebook Live video.
As you can see, I’ve used a different designer paper pattern behind my sentiment piece. The truth is, I’ve used most of my pack of Ever Eden Designer Series Paper already! I literally ran out of the designer paper pattern used on the first card so chose this pattern as an alternative.

I think this paper works just fine with the design in fact it may be even better than the first version! Here are a few close-ups of this one just for fun!

Check out all the colors in the Garden Gem! The colors change depending on the light and the position of the card. Crazy fun right?!

Who doesn’t love a wreath right?
The images in the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set are perfect for creating a wreath for any season and the Stamparatus is the tool to do it with!
For this next card, I’ve used the Stamparatus to create this lovely wreath. Watch my video at the end of this post for some really handy tips not just for creating this wreath, but easy ways to recreate and resize your wreaths too! In my video you’ll also see some other wreaths I’ve made as well.

The colors used for my stamping are Pear Pizzazz and Evening Evergreen. I’ve added touches of Cherry Cobbler to make this a Christmas card but you could easily use different ribbons and gems to make a wreath like this for any time of year! I’ve used the Garden Gems which have a subtle touch of red in them as you can see here.

The sentiment comes from the Holly Jolly Wishes Stamp Set and I’ve punched the sentiment piece using the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. This is my go-to punch these days! For a subtle accent of color, one strip each of Cherry Cobbler and Evening Evergreen cardstock were attached behind the sentiment.

Now, I don’t know about you but sometimes I find that some ribbons are just too chunky and big for a given project.
So, in comes my favorite new trick to use with ribbon! Simply cut your ribbon down the center the long way to get half the thickness! You can use just one ribbon color, or combine 2 or more pieces to go with your project!
Then simply lay one piece over the other and tie a bow with the cut pieces. For my project, I’ve used two colors of ribbon to tie in the colors in my project.

The Cherry Cobbler ribbon also has little gold filaments in it which you can pull out intentionally to add some additional interest to your bow. I love these little gold accents in this bow!

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my fancy fold card and wreath card with the Eden’s Garden collection of products!
