Today’s simple cardmaking ideas feature the Flowering Desert Stamp Set from the 2019 Occasions Catalog.
The Stamparatus was used to get perfect placement of the images and I’ve created two variations of this project.
This first version was actually one of the Make n’ Takes at a gathering of my Treehouse Chicks Team .
We used the Rock n’ Roll technique to create the one multicolored image in Mango Melody and Poppy Parade. To learn more about the Rock n’ Roll technique, you’ll find a link toward the end of this post.
I’ve created this card in a few different ways with some using the Crackle Paint in the background and others without. Here are some important tips:
- The Crackle Paint background stamp was stamped with Gray Granite Ink, that was first stamped off. That simply means you ink it up, stamp it on your scratch paper to remove the first layer of ink, and then use the second, lighter residual layer of ink, on your focal piece
. Make sure to stamp this image first before stamping any of the plant images or the sentiment. This will help to make sure these images stand out more. I have done it in reverse and believe me if you stamp the Crackle paint second it will look like it’s on top of the other images.
When people join my team I want them to feel welcome and special!
Adding a bit of bling always makes a card feel more special to me!!! I sure hope it has that same effect for my new team members!
On the close up below you can see that I did not use the Crackle Paint background stamp. I did use the Clear Wink of Stella brush to provide some bling to the sentiment!
