In this post, you’ll see projects made with various Brusho Techniques. I also used the Stamparatus to get the look of motion in the images, for some fun results.
This was a Club Project and is a Free Card Kits program project. In person club members were given several images to play with that were set up on the Stamparatus. It was so fun to see all the different variations people came up with both with their colors and stamping! This first card is made with the and image from the Humming Along Stamp Set.

When playing with Brusho there are essentially seven tool/methods I use when creating.
- Use an Aqua Painter to wet a surface or focal image and then apply color
- Use an Aqua Painter to move the crystals around and/or paint.
- Spray with Water and then Sprinkle Brusho Crystals
- Sprinkle Brusho Crystals and then Spray with Water
- Create a paint palette with a single color and paint with it
- Create a paint palette by mixing two colors of Brusho Crystals and make a new color(s)
- Use a paper towel to dab the focal piece to remove and adjust color

For each of the projects shared in this post, and in the video tutorial ahead, I’ve used one or more of these methods/tools.

For this first design, I’ve used methods 1, 2 and 4 listed above.
- After wetting the hummingbird with the Aqua Painter, I sprinkled with blue and red Brusho over the image only and then used my Aqua Painter to blend the colors.
- Next, I sprayed with water.

This second design is made with the Flourishing Phrases stamp set. I’ve also used methods 1, 2 and 4 listed above but in a slightly different way.
- After wetting the flowers and leaves on the image on the right, I sprinkled with blue and yellow Brusho and then used my Aqua Painter to blend the colors.
- Next, I sprinkled with some yellow and orange Brusho over the entire focal piece and sprayed with water. I was thinking pollen blowing in the wind around the flowers.

The Wink of Stella Glitter Brush was used to color the flowers and leaves of the image on the right.

A similar example was shared in my video tutorial ahead but in that case, I just sprayed and sprinkled Brusho crystals and used a paper towel to dab off some color. The example in the video is much more random but it’s a fun simple alternative too.

For this next design, made with the This Little Piggy stamp set, I’ve used methods 1, 5 and 7 listed above.
- A paint palette was created using a few sprinkles of the red Brusho crystals and a droplet of water.
- After wetting the pig on the right with the Aqua Painter, I watercolored with my watered down red Brusho so that it looked more pink.
- The two other pigs were done in the same way but with less color on the Aqua Painter.

I love my little magical “fairy” pigs and just adore the sentiment!
Soon I’ll be posting some more fun cards created with Brusho Techniques and the images from the This Little Piggy Stamp Set. If you like this card you’ll definitely want to see these other fun designs created by me and stamp club members and customers.

I hope you’ve enjoyed these cards and learning about Brusho Techniques!
In the video tutorial ahead you’ll see a couple of additional variations on these cards. The video focuses on creating the focal pieces only and the different methods used to get different effects. Watch the video to see more
