How to make an M-Fold Card

In today’s post, I’ll be sharing How to make an M-Fold Card with the Pretty Perennials Stamp Set and the Paper Blooms designer paper. You can get this paper FREE during Sale-A-Bration!

This fun fold card is a club and free card kit project and is easy to make! It involves some simple scoring. I’ve used the Paper Blooms designer paper which is what determined the color scheme and you’ll also see that there are some stamped panels as well. So, let’s get started with the particulars for how to make an M-Fold Card.

You’ll start with scoring a piece of Night of Navy card stock (that measures 4-¼” x 11″) at 1-¼”, 4″, and 6-¾”. The left leg of the “M” is created by adding your sentiment piece to the front panel. This could also be called an accordion fold but I just had to call it an “M” fold for the obvious reason… my name. 🙂

Here’s my card when it’s open and flat.

The white panel serves as a place to write a note. The Soft Sea Foam and Seaside Spray panels are stamped with the same colors of ink. There are actually two Soft Sea Foam panels, one for the inside and the other for the front.

The panel on the right is a piece of the Paper Blooms designer paper. Several of the patterns in this paper are great alternatives for this last panel. If you are a club member or Free Card Kit recipient just know you may get one of several different patterns in your kit.

After I had assembled this card I decided to stamp the Seaside Spray panel with flowers. I needed to mask and then stamp. I showed this process in my video which you’ll find at the end of this post.

For the front sentiment panel I used images from the Pretty Perennials Stamp Set.

This set has some great options for various ways to incorporate the big “happy” image with other smaller words. “Happy Birthday” and “Lots of Happy” are two of the other options but there are others as well. You should also know that this stamp set has a coordinating set of dies. When you purchase the stamps and dies as a bundle you get a 10% discount. The bundle is called the Pretty Perennials Bundle.

Each project kit includes 3 punched flowers and rhinestone jewels to play with on the front of the card. I’ve used my bone folder to gently curl up the edges of each flower to give them some dimension. All three flowers are attached with Mini Glue Dots.

I’ve used the Small Bloom Punch for these cute punched flowers.
