January 2021 Color Challenge

Check out the January 2021 Color Challenge & Blog Hop! My cards feature two new Stamp Sets from the Jan to Jun 2021 mini-catalog.

Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop and January 2021 Color Challenge!

The color combination for the January 2021 Color Challenge was one I was super excited to play with. It’s just such a happy, fun combination of colors that made me immediately think of a flower garden or birthday party! The color combination this month is Mango Melody, Melon Mambo, Garden Green, and Pacific Point. Plus, with the new mini catalog launch right around the corner, it was a great opportunity to play with some new stamp sets.

For today’s blog hop, I’ve created two cards using two new stamp set plus a stamp set in the annual catalog too.

This first card is made with the Pretty Perennials Stamp Set and was super easy to create.

I started by playing with all the flowers in the set and deciding which flower should be stamped in each color. These are all pretty strong colors so I’ve stamped off all the images, except for the sentiment and the black images.

Here’s a look at the Pretty Perennials stamp set:

My second card is made with the new Borders To Backgrounds stamp set and the Happiest of Birthdays set in the annual catalog.

I essentially attempted to create a rainbow, of sorts, using the images in the Borders To Backgrounds set. First, second and third inking was used for all the colors so each color would more subtly fade into the next.

For the big bold sentiment I simply inked up the top half of the sentiment with Pacific Point ink and the bottom half with Garden Green ink. I did angle my stamp slightly when inking it up, which is why the “happiest” shows up with some of both colors. The sentiment element is popped up on Dimensionals.
