In today’s post, I’ll be sharing three simple Split Card designs!
Two of these Split Card Designs are made with retiring products and the third one is made with the NEW Beautiful Balloons Bundle which will be available to purchase starting on 5/2/23. In my Facebook Live video, I showed how to make this first card.
For this one, I’ve used the Greatest Journey Bundle which includes a Stamp Set and Dies. Unfortunately, the dies have already sold out! In my video, I shared some workarounds for how to make this card, if you do not have the dies.
Now, what might not be obvious by looking at the front of this card, is that this is actually a fun fold style card. I’ve seen it called a “Split Card” and a “Peek Through Card”. Here’s what it looks like when it’s open. The focal piece bridges the gap between the card base at the top and the bottom panel so the front is “split”, and you can “peek through” the sides. Fun right?!
The Greatest Journey set has a bunch of awesome sentiments that I love and yet my single favorite image is the flowers you see below. I adore mountains and subalpine meadows with wildflowers. That’s what this image makes me think of. So pretty right?
I’ve used one of the dies in the set to make my mountains in the background. Plus, I’ve used the negative space die-cut piece to create extra mountains in the background. All the details for how to do this are included in the video below and will be included in the PDF tutorial for this project as well.

Last I looked the stamp set was still available! Make sure to get it before it sells out or retires on 5/1, whichever comes first. Since you can’t get the dies anymore, make sure to watch the video below for some simple suggest workarounds and for my limited-time offer if you buy this stamp set through my online store.
My second card is also made with retiring products!
This card has more of a peek-through element because the focal piece is a bit smaller.
For this card, I’ve used the Mountain Air Stamp Set and Majestic Mountain Dies. The dies are still available but the stamp set is SOLD OUT! The two trees are the main focal element. So, with the dies you could still make this card! You might just need to make your mountains using the method described in my video. Check out the video below.
