In today’s post, I’ll be sharing some gorgeous cards that use Shimmery White Embossing Paste.
These cards are variations of my February 2024 Color Challenge project. I just had to keep playing with Shimmery White Embossing Paste and this scrumptious color scheme including three of the 2022 – 2024 InColors. These colors will be retiring in April! 🙁
The project you see below is my original Color Challenge project. To see more photos of this project check out my blog post by clicking HERE. Now, after I finished making this card I had some lovely leftover pieces that were way too beautiful to throw away so I had to keep creating!
The focal piece here is the second half of the piece used on the first card. I decided to simply rotate the design to the landscape orientation, add one additional layer, and switch up the sentiment.
For this card, I’ve used a sentiment and die from the Everyday Details Bundle.
The background piece on this next card was created simply by using the residual paste on the mask. It was sort of an experiment and I really like the look.
To learn how I made this background piece watch my video tutorial at the end of this post. There will also be a FREE PDF Tutorial available in my February 14, 2024 newsletter with step-by-step instructions.
The sentiment here is heat embossed in white on a piece of Starry Sky cardstock and then cut out with the Stampin’ Up! paper snips. In this close up can you see the bit of shimmer from the embossing paste in the background? It’s subtle but it’s definitely there and oh so pretty!
I love these three cards and not sure I could pick a favorite! How about you? Do you have a favorite?

In my Facebook Live video, I played with some of the other masks in the set of Foursquare Decorative Masks. You’ll see some of the pieces I created during the live video in the next two photos. My favorite among these is the one created with black cardstock. It’s just so striking!
I just love the Foursquare Decorative Masks!
My favorite mask is the one featured on my three finished cards but it was fun to experiment with the others too.
