Today’s project also features the Mixed Florals Stamp Set & Textured Notes Bundle. I don’t yet have the new In Color ink pads so I had to get creative using only the cardstock for my design. I’m pretty happy with the end result.
For my focal element I used strips of cardstock in four of the five colors. The color placement looked like a sunrise with the yellow (Darling Duckling) sun on the horizon and the blue (Cloud Cover) for the sky. The dark blue (Secret Sea) is so dark that it didn’t look right as part of the sunrise, so I chose to use it to frame the “scene” instead.
The floral image and sentiment are heat embossed with white embossing powder. I’ve used a bit of my new favorite white ribbon along the bottom for a bit of texture and interest.
In this close up, you can see a bit of shimmer on the flower image. I’ve used my Clear Wink of Stella brush to bring this image to life and help it stand out more.
