Mercury Glass Acetate on a Christmas Card

Today’s post features an extra fancy Christmas card made with Mercury Glass Acetate, Noble Peacock Foil, specialty designer paper and lots of sparkle and shine!

This project was one of the Make n’ Takes at my team gathering earlier this month. There are several fun elements to this card but what makes it especially unique is the use of the Mercury Glass Acetate. I’ve actually used lots of different products, including items from both the Annual and Holiday catalogs.

The “valance” element at the top was made with one of the shapes in the Magnolia Memories Dies. It’s hard to see here but it is die-cut from a piece of blue foil.

Check out the gorgeous blue foil on this card!

I’ve also used it for the small ornament and in behind the focal layers, with the Mercury Glass Acetate and Sparkle Glimmer Paper. This gorgeous blue foil is one of the colors in the pack of Noble Peacock Foil Sheets.

Can you see the Sparkle Glimmer Paper in behind the Mercury Glass Acetate?

It looks a bit like snow in the background to me. As you can see I’ve dry embossed a few of my ornaments and punched out one of the ornaments with the stunning Noble Peacock Specialty designer paper. To top it all off I’ve added lots of colored and clear rhinestones to my ornaments.

Plus, I can’t forget to mention, of course, that I couldn’t have made this card without my Gleaming Ornaments Punches. I just love the shapes of these ornaments!

So I think this is an “over the top” Christmas card!

The combination of the Mercury Glass Acetate, glimmer paper, foil, specialty paper, and rhinestones just feels so extravagant! I hope you love it as much as I do!!!
