The color scheme for the September 2026 Color Challenge includes four colors; Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight.
Today’s project features the Poetic Petals Bundle which features a stamp set with great set of sentiments and some very fun dies.
This was a very simple card to create and I love how it turned out. I used the neutral Crumb Cake for my base and for die-cutting. The three additional color challenge colors were placed in the background to offset the pretty die-cut shapes.
As you can see, the top die-cut layer of Crumb Cake cardstock is popped up on dimensionals. I love how this makes the die-cut flowers look more 3-D.
The sentiment was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink onto a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock and fussy cut. I then attached the sentiment with some rolled up glue dots. For a final touch, I added some iridescent pearls, in two sizes, to the centers of each flower.
Below is a peek at the inside of the card. As always, I like to bring the theme from the outside of the card to the inside.
