Simple cards to make with dies and designer paper!

In today’s post, I’ll be sharing 3 simple cards using a variety of designer papers with the Nested Essentials Dies.

I always love finding simple cards to make using designer paper and dies or punches. For today’s cards, I’ll be using a repeating pattern of shapes in coordinating designer series papers. The die-cut pieces are cut using my favorite shape in the Nested Essentials Dies.

My original card featuring this layout was made for the August Simple Suite Stampers Tutorial Bundle which includes tutorials to make 12 unique and fun cards with the Les Shoppes designer series paper. I loved the layout so much that I just had to make some additional versions with other designer papers.

Here is the original version of my card with the Les Shoppe designer paper:

I’ve also used a sentiment from the Phrases for All Stamp Set which is one of my new favorite sets. I love the crisp, bold font of the images in this set!

My next card uses the same sentiment set with the gorgeous All About Autumn Specialty Paper.

This amazing new paper has beautiful realistic images on one side and on the second side there are rich colors, simple patterns, and subtle copper elements. I LOVE this paper! To see the backsides of these papers and learn how to make this card, watch my video tutorial at the end of this post.

I’ve used four different patterns in this designer paper pack on this card. Plus, I’ve used some of the Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots that are also part of the All About Autumn Product Suite.

I couldn’t help but make a Christmas-themed card with this gorgeous designer paper!

I’ve used four products from the Winter Meadows suite to create this card. Four of the die-cut pieces are cut using the Winter Meadow designer paper and the piece behind the sentiment is cut from the Snowflake Magic Specialty paper. Can you see the silver elements in this pretty background piece?

Dear Melissa Thank you for your inspiration on making cards You leave us in Australia a challenge to find the paper to make a card of beaches and sunshine and not foxes and snow etc. i am very happy to follow what you do . Sometimes I have to consider the exchange rate between countries and as our dollar drops it becomes a bigger challenge . But thank you You fill the hours of a long day with pleasure and I am grateful With blessings Joyce McKee
