Today’s post features a stunning and simple Christmas Card with watercoloring, that anyone can make!
I’ve included photos in this post of three versions of my card simple Christmas Card with watercoloring. This first photo is the simplest of the three.
For these cards, I’ve used various circular objects to stamp the outlines of my ornaments. I then watercolored on the inside of those circles.
This second card looks a lot like the first one because it is the exact same focal piece!
I simply took a photo before attaching the pieces (for the photos above) and then I added the splatters to the focal piece before assembling this finished card. So, do you like the clean look above OR the version below with the splatters? Leave a comment below and let me know.
In my opinion, the splatters add texture and interest to the card but honestly, I like it both ways!
The sentiment is stamped using Jet Black StazOn ink and it comes from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set. I love the simple font and think it works perfectly here.
The Brightest Glow Stamp Set is an amazing set to have for the holiday season. Check it out here:
This final version of my card was created live on Facebook.

I adjusted the size of the Orchid Oasis layer just a bit after the live video. This was done so there would be more of the Starry Sky card body showing on all sides.
As you can see, the watercoloring will look a bit different every time. It’s just the nature of watercoloring and the fun of it too! When watercoloring, it’s important to embrace the uniqueness of each outcome!
For the specks, I’ve used both Starry Sky ink and Clear Wink of Stella. There are quite a few more specks on this version than on the previous card. I love how the Wink of Stella is more prominent on the ornaments here!
For this version, the sentiment is heat embossed in black so that it stands out a bit more. Plus, I added Clear Wink of Stella specks to the Orchid Oasis background layer to this one.
Check out these two finished cards side by side here:
For the insides of my cards, I watercolored a small scrap strip of watercolor paper using the same colors as I used for the ornaments.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my simple Christmas Cards with Watercoloring!
