Simple Two For One Card Making Method!

Colorful and simple cards! Can it get any better than that?… Well Yes! Use this simple Two For One method to make a bunch of gorgeous cards!

I have three card variations for you today. For my first card, I did not actually use the Two For One card-making method. I decided to use it for my other designs because I knew I wanted to make at least two more variations and I figured it would be quicker to Stamp them at the same time.

Let’s get started by taking a look at my first design which uses Blackberry Bliss, Berry Burst, Melon Mambo, and Calypso Coral inks. I just love how these colors blended together. In my video tutorial at the end of this post, I shared a bit about how I chose this color scheme and how I chose my other color schemes too.

I heat-embossed my white images first and then did my ink blending over the top. Leaving some light space in the middle really adds to the drama of this card. I just love it!

I’ve used two black scraps for my sentiment. I have tons of black scraps and hate to waste them. Check out my video to learn how I store, label, and use my scraps.

I just love the bold simple font and the crisp white heat embossing on these cards!

The inside is decorated using scrap pieces cut off the ink-blended piece. They’re two different widths and I really like how they look on the inside.

To create my second two cards I’ve used a simple two-for-one method.

I simply stamped images in Versamark along the top and bottom of a piece of white cardstock measuring 8-½” x 5-½”. I then heat-embossed with white embossing powder. At this point, I could have done my ink blending on this full-size piece but I knew I wanted to use two different color combinations so I cut it in half.

Here’s the card I made with one of the pieces:

The color combination used here is Parakeet Party, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie.

For this card, the stamped piece was cut down and I used the scrap strip to decorate the inside of the card. I intentionally started with a larger piece than I knew I would use so I’d have this extra scrap for the inside. I did the same thing for my last card too. 🙂

For my third card, I’ve used a variety of purples and blues.

For all these projects I’ve used the Glossy Dots Assortment. I’ve used three out of the four color options in this lovely pack of embellishments.

The color combination used here is Gorgeous Grape, Starry Sky, Orchid Oasis, and Tahitian Tide. I love how the color fades to a super light shade of blue in the middle of this piece.
