Unique & Easy Card with Dainty Flowers Designer Paper

I am in love with this unique & easy card made with the Dainty Flowers Designer Paper.

This card design came together so quickly and it was such an easy card to make. I sort of stumbled onto this design when I was noodling around with a leftover piece die-cut with the Picture This dies. (This die cuts out all the circle openings at once!) I placed this die-cut piece over a piece of the Dainty Flowers Designer Paper and immediately loved it!

I also wanted to incorporate the Easter Bunny Bundle into my project and so stamped, colored, and punched out my bunny, to see how it would look with these two layered pieces. It was love at first sight!

The piece of designer paper behind my die-cut piece is like the one you see below and on the right. It’s such a lovely wreath that can be used in so many ways! I tried a few other patterns of the designer paper in behind as an experiment but this wreath was the absolute best and perfect option!

For the first version of my design, I used two simple layered pieces for the sentiment. The sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake ink and it has a backing in the same color.

The bunny was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in with light and dark Blends Alcohol Markers. An Ivory Blends Alcohol Marker was used for the inside of the bunny’s ear. I intentionally colored so there would be some texture in an effort to look like fur. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

The next version of my card is the one I made during my Facebook Live.

There’s really just one slight difference. Can you see what it is?

For this version, I used the Happy Labels Pick A Punch from the current mini-catalog to punch the ends of both the sentiment piece and its Crumb Cake backing.

I love the “pick a punch” feature which allows you to choose the width of your piece plus you get two punched shapes to choose from.

Here’s a close-up of the sentiment piece. I did not try to line up the scalloped edges but you probably could if you wanted to. I’m happy with it being a bit more random.

Here’s one important detail you WILL WANT TO KNOW!

For these cards, I have also used the Thanks A Bunch Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set to create some grass! You can get this stamp set for FREE with a $50 order until 2/28/23!

I simply used the stamp that is intended to add detail to the large carrot, for the grass. What a great trick! I got this idea from fellow demonstrator, Patty Bennett!

For my grass, I used both first and second inking for some added dimension.
